Well ….. *sigh* ….. it begins. Remember I said that the dreaded envelope had thudded to my floor? Well his follow up one hasn’t.
After a mere 17 minutes of listening to the repeated opening strings of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and uncountable “Please hold” thingy I got an actual person answered. After the relevant security questions which I think I zipped through too confidently a new form should be with me in a week – which makes me wonder why the first form was allowed three weeks to get here. Hmmm…….

It’s so frustrating … and such a drag! Why is it so impossible for organisations to function efficiently??

You just recently received your original correspondence. Did you keep a copy of your response? The system, (I wont’t call it organisation cos it ain’t) must be inundated with too few staff to deal with changeovers. It is a fraught situation without correspondence going round the houses. Your cynicism. Is more than just. Xxxx

I keep copies and notes on everything to do with ‘them’. When I telephoned on the 16th July, they said the form would take 2-weeks if I had not received it by the 5th Aug to call, so I called. By some miraculous means they were more confident that their firm will be here within a week (they must have more energised carrier pigeons)!

Me too, but the unofficial family motto is if it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all!
