I think I am ill ….. ….. …..
It came on all of a sudden during the night. I awoke feeling flush of cheek, fingers and toes not exactly tingling but certainly curiously almost damp. As I was awake and to make the disturbance useful I went for a pee, drank a little water and returned to my duvet. As I settled back into the comfortable spot, all sensations had ebbed away, ahh that is what it must have been, my body finding an obscure way to say “Hey, wake up, go pee”. My mind meandered through the possible gentle occupations for the following day and I returned to restful contented slumber.
When I woke up, the curious sensation had returned and if anything, more so. Flushed again of cheek spreading towards and around my neck, fingers feeing strangely sensitive to the bedding, my feet were definitely ever so mildly coated in a micro layer of clear secretion. My back was sticking to the duvet cover. Oh my … not good ….
Rising and dressing, visiting the bathroom for another pee, the sensation did not dissipate as it had in the dark wee hours. As I went from storage-heated lounge to unheated kitchen the sensation remained. I mentally totted up my symptoms, worrying indeed. What was this affliction, should I call for help, get me to an A&E or walk-in centre, was it viral, was it terminal?
I googled and perused some medical web sites as the smell of my coffee soothed my nostrils and distracted me from my woes.
Ladies and Gentlemen, blog readers, it is my sad duty to inform you that it appears I am suffering from something called “Warmth”. It was not clear whether this is indeed contagious therefore I shall sequester myself to my sofa and calmly await its departure.

No panic Pyro – yes it is good, very good, so good it lulled me into a most refreshing afternoon nap. Whilst today is not as warmthed as yesterday, it sure isn’t as bitt-freezing as last week :p

Sorry – lol – couldn’t resist. It was the first day this year that looked and felt gorgeous, amazing what some ‘proper’ sunshine can do to body and soul.

Thanks Cool – I imagine down the coast there that Southwold was pleasantly bathed in sunlight yesterday. Did Leo risk a spot of sunbathing?

Thanks Anne Marie,
Leo declines to coherently answer my questions re. what he’s been doing outside, but he was out for a while when it was sunny yesterday, though he generally seems to prefer to be out after dark!

Our cats used to prefer sunbathing on window sill where it was baking hot! Ahh he is a night prowler, oww best not ask too many probing questions then.

You must keep the circulation going,I am sure you know how important that is.

Yes. I am sure my usual cold feet is due to circulation issues, but the weather has been so bitterly bitter this winter that it has affected my fingers. I found doing finger movement, like typing or crocheting etc made my finger feel like icicles.
Strangely, again must be circulation orientated, when I immerse my hands in warm water, like doing dishes or washing hair etc, my hands are of course warm and stay that way for around 5 minutes but then they will go so thoroughly cold, almost to the point of inducing cramp and I cannot do anything to get them warm for hours after. It is as if my thermo control thingy cannot adjust to temperature changes at all.
Sorry I’ve waffled.
