15 seconds of …..

26 Jun

Oh I say! One’s been interviewed!! A proper pukka author type lady who read my blog approached me and asked if she could feature me as a guest because apparently I’m interesting.  It’s been a week for it, another online bud referred to me as awesome and extraordinary.

I’ve been on tv (well a tv audience twice now), I’ve been in the press (local press, a couple of times), I’ve been interviewed on the radio (only local radio onboard a tallship) and now I’m a blog topic. I think I’m eking out my fifteen minutes in 15 second spurts.  Too much of me all at once surely cannot be a good thing.

Do we ever really consider how others perceive us? I know I don’t. My perception of myself is that I’m nowt to talk about, I’m muddling through, one step infront of the other, not achieving much. I’ve found myself in odd situations, with interesting people, but am I interesting … not to my myopic eyes.

You can read the result at … Pauline Barclay’s Blog

Fear not faithful readers, I shall not let this go to my head, I’ll still make time for you lovely minions, if you’ll just contact my social PA I’m sure I can squeeze you in between my daily hot stone massage with oils and lunch at The Ivy.

That’s sounds like the sort of lass you have been destined to be…Not surprised at all. May not seem so to you, but my impression of you has always been as being extremel gifted…regardless of how the ‘cookie of life has crumbled’ for you. Good Lass! Hugs. ❤ ❤

Promise me a cyber lunch in the Ivy and I’ll allow myself to be squeezed in to your exclusive schedule.

I am thrilled you have been discovered.

Great pictures of you at the pool side and at the helm.

Those cross stitch pieces are fab!

I didn’t realise that the very talented Gibb brothers had offspring doing similar show biz activities.

Salut to you with masses of bubbles on!!

    xxx

Many of the next gen Gibb’s are in da business. They collaborated as “The Gibb Collective” and covered their favourite tracks into an album. Very interesting take on familiar melodies.

Re Gibbs…I don’t know what favourite tracks they collected. Are they their own pieces or that of their parents?

        xx

Spencer (son of Robin), Robin-John (son of Robin), Samantha (daughter of Maurice), Stephen (son of Barry) have their own music and have worked with other musicians. Peta (daughter of Andy), Adam (son of Maurice), Travis (son of Barry), Bernice (daughter of brothers sister Leslie) joined their cousins to create and release the album of covers.

Let me grab my counters. Between the four brothers there are eleven children, branching down to fifteen grandchildren (I think, one might have slipped down the back of the sofa, lol).

A magnet to fish out the recalcitrant slippery sofa variety is called for, without a doubt. Got to keep the numbers straight; auditing will be nigh impossible otherwise.

Thank you! I had been trying to grasp a particular word since Saturday and while talking to my BFF yesterday it sprung to mind ‘fascinating’. I’ve had some fascinating opportunities and experiences cross my path, but I still don’t see myself as interesting, lol.
