While I am waiting for postie to deliver the stuffing, itchy fingers needed to get on with something, so I tackled monkey’s banana.
The eight yellow rows of slip stitches and half double crochet’s were straightforward for making the body of the fruit. However switching to work with embroidery floss/silks to stitch the star shaped end and to create the stalk were a different matter, and I am still not 100% sure with the results. I must have started, ripped out and started again the stalk more than a dozen times, trying different sized hooks and struggling to find the four stitches. Eventually it sort of came together, I had had to join extra silk to the length and part of me likes the ends showing, but the bit of me not happy with the end result does not like them.
Anyway, the banana is in my work box, ready to join the monkey when he is done. Does it look banana-ish?
