This handsome fellow captures my mood today. I was trying to think of a caption for him but decided against it in the end. It is a cross between “You’re going to disturb me aren’t you” with some “I’ve derailed” and a smidge of “I’m only lazy when I am awake” with a “I dare you to make me”. He just loos so comfortable and blissed out.
I should be washing my hair and cleaning the bathroom, I should be wrapping presents, I should be sorting laundry, i should be ….. [consortswith list], but I really do not have the inclination to do any of it.
It’s my nephews birthday today, he will be 35. His Mum winced and said five years until he is forty, and I replied I did not know which sounded worse, him being forty or his son being eight!! Don’t like this time marches on thing.

To-do lists never seem to shrink … it’s like the fourth bridge, just as you get to the bottom it has filled up at the top!

Read this one too. Have decided against a blog for myself. Not a lot of point in writing something which (in my case) no one will read. I will stick to my journal so long as I can scratch out a few lines legibly. Won’t be much longer till that is not possible perhaps. More reading and less writing for me I guess. At least my eyes are okay so far.

Sometimes blogging is not about who is likely to read it but more a case of saying it somewhere.
My pen skills have diminished significantly, I now write one word notes for myself in my shorthand as the words take too long, I am so very slow at trying to write legibly, took ages to write the envelopes for the handful of cards I send.
