Retailed Well

Retail therapy

Time when out in town either whizzes by having hardly achieved anything or takes a leisurely meander, however for us it whizzes by as we reccee for ideas, but drags as we nip and pop from shop to shop finding the bargain.  Recently my sister and I went into town for a look see, in four hours we had breakfast, attacked BHS, recon-ed Bon Marche, The Works, Poundland and just had time to grab some first class meat from the market butcher before hurrying back to the car with five minutes spare.

So today as we set off and sat in the car park debating how long to put on the parking ticket, our list if errands and jobs was lengthy, we settled on three as the breeze had an iced edge.  Imagine our surprise as after we had breakfasted (priority), shopped for buttons, got my passport photos done, raided Poundland, went into the Bank, sauntered through Wilkinsons, owed in the handbag shop, whizzed through Superdrug, we sat down to restock in the Market Place and still had an hour to spare! Fresh meat, prawns and some decent sized baking potatoes and back to the car, laiden with bags and still cash in our pockets.

Dropping into an out of town Matalan in search of a winter coat and an hour later emerging unforfilled.

Eight shops and the market in town in under three hours versus one hour in one shop.  Me thinks I live near a tear in the time space continuum thingy that spacey types go on about.

Christmas almost done ….. Just cards to write, gifts to wrap, surprises to spring.
