I was googling for an interesting stitch to try, or some new project to inspire me to twiddle the old yarn. I am a frequent YouTube-er for Crochet Geek and if anyone is looking to take up crochet or brush up some dusty skills or curious about a certain stitch Theresa is the girl to check out, she has a fab web site as well as hundreds of useful, well presented, video tutorials.
The Google Images brought up an interesting scarf called “Papillon” [French for butterfly] on another excellent blog of crochet idea and patterns bynumber19.com
This fitted my needs most beautifully and I quickly got my hook and yarn around the pattern chart above, I have whizzed around two foot so far, this pic was taken after a few rows to see how it looked.
I must admit i am rather pleased with it. I shall have to search her blog more thoroughly once I am done with PurplePap

That is what I find trickiest, if I go ‘free style’ I am never quite sure which hok to use for which yarn type, I end up trying three samples with three size hooks and of course then stick with the first one, lol.
