Thursday Thumping

You know, I started the week thinking, the pace of the week would be comfortable, giving me enough time to get stuff done and leave wiggle room for other stuff or to do no stuff. But by the time I arrived at the dentist Monday, thirty minutes late, the week seems to have rendered me as the red t-shirted toddler on the see-saw.

It’s Thursday afternoon and I am trying to catch-up with catching up.  A couple of nights I have slept unusually, I get into bed feeling shattered and battered and fall asleep quickly into a deep, deep sleep – wonderful such a restful rarity – I awaken feeling more rested and ready to relax until getting up time but the cursory glance at the clock reveals I have only been asleep for 90 minutes.  I toss and turn, jiffle and shuffle, doze and day dream and eventually just as I think I am getting to the point where slumber may my way come, it is up time.

Tuesday’s are usually my restful odd job day, but my Sister called she was bored and suggested a reccee to Asda and TK-Max, which we did. The hour turned into three and rendered me useless to get the odd jobs done.  Monday’s and Wednesday’s are her days where we deal with what needs  doing on an industrial level, bed changing, kitchen cleaning, house hoovering etc or shopping proper.  Yesterday was an ‘in-town’ proper shop cum reccee, perusing shelves and making notes of what cost where in the way of christmas stuff.  Four hours later we hurried to the car feeling that someone had nabbed an hour because we had hardly dallied, deciding that we need to come back again because there are things in-town we never got a far as, and feeling a tad disappointed with what we had seen.

I have a former work friend visiting tonight, that will be super enjoyable,a natter and catch up on all things unrelated, lol.
