Mark The Day

Well, I did it … with mild trepidation and a slight edge of sadness … I hit the send button. Of course, as a consequence I am not on tenterhooks for when the telephone will ring, as the ball I rolled gains speed.

You look baffled and bewildered.

I shall enlighten.

Today, I sent the email to the company we hope to engage to take over the running of the ‘Residents Management Company’ that I have been doing sole-handedly for the past ten years.

The thought of someone else handling the “They run their washing machine/vacuum too early/late” or the “That bin was put/left out early/late”, then there is the ‘Whose parking in my space” with the “The Company should pay my …..” is most relieving; and no longer having the headache of getting the same people to pay the correct fees at the correct time is verging on sublime, but still I shall miss the useful occupation, and if I am permitted to be mildly prideful, the cache of the position.
