This year we bought ourselves a new game. We have played Game of Life, Anti-Monopoly and of course Trivial Pursuit [genius edition and baby boomer] but were finding the hours upon hours competing just one go becoming a little tedious. e are yet to play one round of Baby Boomer TP in under four hours!!
This caught our eyes and so on Boxing Day evening we unsealed and read the straight forward instructions. There is a circular board and you progress along its winding way by answering up to four questions related to everyday products, their logo’s, names and associations. In two hours we had mastered the methods and completed three rounds.
The questions have a category, for example one as American Presidents [I see your bemused expressions] the questions were Name the vacuum cleaner [Hoover], High Street greetings card shop [Clinton], Major car manufacturer [Ford]. there are pot luck questions which if you listen carefully to the wording a hint or two can be found. There are cards that have part of a logo showing and you name that brand and have three questions about the product. sometimes there are four pictures and you name the product.
As you might be able to tell, not all the questions are food, confectionary related, but also clothing, insurance, cars, toothpaste.
There were plenty of moments where the answer was on the tip of your tongue and you drove yourself nuts trying to remember it, as well as a few ‘well I never knew that!”
This is definitely a game we shall play again .. and again ….. and again …… really must pay more attention to the adverts and shopping shelves in future!
